It is crazy important to understand that the Bible does not primarily explain or present a religion to us, but it tells us an epic story of something amazing that has happened. Using a great variety of styles and perspectives, it gives an account of historical events occurring in specific places and involving specific people to tell an epic love story that is still unfolding during our own lifetime. The good news of Jesus Christ is just that, news. Let me tell you briefly the news of this amazing story using the headings of creation, fall, rescue, and consummation.
